Of Rants and Reeds

Something new

October 1, 2008

I have been reviewing the contents of this blog, all my other blogs out there, and in general, they seem to be the outlet of all my bad ideas in life. Depression. Anger. Pride. Well, you know the drill.

But I think I should post something “Good” every once in a while. Something that would deviate from the ordinary the-world-is-not-going-my-way kind of posts.

To cut the chase short, I am applying for ACE coach in my company. Well, I think I am capable of handling paper work and deadlines better than calls and queues. I’ve been an agent for 2  years now. Some even call me kuya even though I am 21 and they are ranging from 24 - 29 years old just because I am tenured. What they don’t know is that they can even be better than I am! Hahaha…

It just popped into my mind that the ACE coaches that interviewed me said that I should create a presentation involving something about language. Well, the topic is kind of hard. You would like to segway from the ‘history’ or ‘evolution’ or ‘change’ or ‘factors’ that involves language. And it is hard to present this to people who practically has seen everything there is about the topic.

Then an idea popped into my mind.

A friend of mine has been sending me these pictures about Filipino engrish from this website: http://otakurebellion.invisionplus.net/?mforum=otakurebellion&showtopic=1140&st=0

Well, you cannot check it out now because it is a message board and you cannot get in without an account.

Anyhoo… My topic for acewould be…

TOP 5 Common English Mishaps

Number 5: Spelling

Ampotah! @#$%^&*() wala man lang tumama!! LOLX

Number 4: Context

If you need spare eyes, limbs or internal organs, This is the place to go!

Number 3: Grammar

Yeah! Like a daytime will be there to dry! LOLX

Number 2: Redundancy

Number 1: Sense

Hahaha… naaawa sa mga ipis. Coolness…

Madami pa sana kaso tinatamad akong mag upload. Bagal kasi ng net e.  Pero ito last na…

Dapat… “Beware of the ASS!”

Ang ganda kasi nung pwesto nung kabayo e.

This is what they call, ANGLING! Nyahahaha…

Tama na ang katarantaduhang ito. Hindi ko pa rin nga alam kung kelan ko iprerpesent to o kung tuloy pa un application ko for ACE Coach. Bahala na… dadating ang dadating. Handa na naman ata ako e… I hope.

Well, good luck to me nalang. Haha
